Up for sale is a decent example of a standard Sharps 1859 New Model Saddle ring carbine chambered in the .52 caliber round. The gun is fully functional with a decent bore for a black powder gun with clean rifling and minor frosting/ pits. Also, I was told by the previous owner this gun is by serial number issued to the 6th New York Calvary during the war. However, I'm not sure what book he was referencing. Overall, a good example of a civil war sharps carbine.
