Up for sale is a nice early style British 1796 pattern sword with brass fittings and scabbard. The blade features gold inlayed designs of an artillery scene and a old blued finished blade. The manufacturer was Peter Knecht of Solinger Germany who produced swords around the turn of the 19th century. It's also very likely early U.S. import before the war of 1812. The handle will need to be refitted but besides this the sword remains in great shape.
