Up for sale is a great example of a late WW1 Gewehr-98 rifle that has not been touched since the war. It features all matching numbers with the exception of the bolt which is a wartime arsenal renumbered to match so technically wartime matching gun still. The stock is the original matching number stock with strong cartouches in the wood and no signs of refinishing or sanding, just an old wartime repaired crack on the wrist. Overall, a solid example of a late war Imperial German rifle.
